Adventures in College Part 10

Hey Guys!

How is everyone? I hope everyone had a good weekend, whether you celebrate Easter or not. My family and I hosted Easter dinner at our house this year and it went relatively well. This past week we had a death in the family. My mothers 18 year old cat past away in her arms after 3 hours of struggling to let go. Yes, I’m aware that not everyone considers their pets family but he was family and he will be greatly missed. We believe changes we made over the weekend may have started the process because things weren’t the same as they had always been.

On a lighter note, this week means that Wednesday is my dads last radiation treatment. We plan on celebrating Friday night. It will be nice when he doesn’t have to go to the doctors every day Monday through Friday.

I hope everyone had a good weekend and an awesome week.

XO,

Nikki

Adventures in College Part 9

Hey guys!

I have a confession to make… I didn’t go to school at all this week except for Thursday…. I know, I know, it was a bad call. More than a bad call. As of Monday, however, I will be getting back to a regular schedule. Getting up, going to classes (as much as I would like to sleep in), walking my behind to the library and busting said behind on classwork and getting myself back on track. I’ve procrastinated long enough on things and I will be damned if I repeat the fiasco that occurred during my first full time semester at RACC. It WILL not happen again.

How many of you have been in a situation where you have lost all of your motivation to go to school or to do something in your life that you know you love but you just want to disappear for a while? Let me know in the comments. How did you get your motivation back? Anything is appreciated.

Nikki

Adventures in College Part 8

Hey Guys!

How was everyone’s spring breaks? Mine was good just unproductive. I had made a big list of things to do over spring break. Not a darn thing on that list got done. I did, however, get to hang out with my best friend Marissa Wednesday into Thursday. We had a good time it was nice to cut loose and forget about school for a little while. As she was picking me up Wednesday my best friend Mark texted to invite me to the beach Thursday. I wish it hadn’t been last minute because I totally wanted to go. Marissa and I were going to go meet him there with her kiddos but due to the previous night’s activities that involved a deplorable amount of drinking we ended up not going.  I also binge read the newest four books in one of the series’ that I am Obsessed with. It’s called The Chronicles of Kerrigan and I have been hooked since the first page. If you have a kindle and want to read it you can find the first book of the series for free here.

What did the rest of you do? Did you go to a local beach or travel to a warmer one? Or did you curl up at home with a good book and some tea? If so, let me know what you read. I’m always looking for new things to read. As always, I love hearing from you so drop me a comment down below.

Adventures in College Part 7

Hey Guys!

I know most college students are halfway through their spring break this week and that this post is over due. So without any more delay, lets get into it.

I didn’t go to class much last week. With midterms in full swing the stress was heavy and I broke. Wednesday was my most productive day. I went to class and met with my advisor to discuss certain concerns I had. I also dropped a class that I haven’t really been going too and added (yes I know I was crazy) an independent study course in Latin. I’m both excited and terrified to be starting my Latin Language class. Thursday I went to school and took my American Population History midterm. That was supper easy. Everything else was papers and I don’t do well with papers.

I’ll write this weekend about what I did over my spring break. How was your week last week? Are any of you looking at palm trees, sand, and ocean? If so, I’m jealous. Let me know in the comments.

XO,

Nikki
