You all have been such awesome followers. Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate you all.
On to more interesting things.
I might be changing my major! Yea, I know. What would you even do? Why would you want to change your major? Wouldn’t that lengthen the time you’re at school? I thought you liked history! All of those questions are valid and I will answer them in due time. First, let me explain how I got to where I am today.
Last semester was the crappiest semester I have had in years. Since I decided to major in History actually. I figured it was just because of the stuff going on at home and my lack of connections to people from my new school but it seems it was more than that. This semester has turned out, so far, to be almost exactly like the last one. I’m unmotivated, uninterested, and completely ready to run. I have noticed a pattern. This is exactly how I felt when I failed my first full semester at community college. So I started looking at other things offered at my current school. What looked interesting to me? What can I actually make money doing? Being a historian isn’t exactly the best paying job and the job pool isn’t very large. So as I’m looking, I’m reminded of a class I never got to take at my community college because there hadn’t been enough interest. That class was Botany. Well, KU offers botany and it is a part of a major that I think will be very well suited to me and my tastes. Organismal Biology! What is that you ask? Well, I’ll tell you.
“Organismal biology, the study of structure, function, ecology and evolution at the level of the organism, provides a rich arena for investigation on its own, but also plays a central role in answering conceptual questions about both ecology and evolution.” I got that from the following website: http://ecologyandevolution.cornell.edu/organismal-biology
Some of the courses I’ll study under this major include biology, botany, zoology, microbiology, genetics, and a number of specialized courses such as ornithology, vertebrate and invertebrate biology, animal behavior and more. I really look forward to starting a trial semester before I make any permanent decisions.
What do you all think? Would you still read some of my things even though they may not follow the same setup that I have right now? I know I would be keeping my adventures in college series. My Quotes of the day would definitely broaden and I would probably bring in a major related series, but who knows.
As always, leave your comments down below and like and let me know what you all think. I really do enjoy hearing from you.
